Montana Bale Wrapping | About The Team
Kelly Hall
A fifth generation Montana rancher, Kelly Hall grew up in Wibaux, Montana before attending veterinary school at Washington State University. In 2004, he and his wife moved to southwestern Montana and purchased Headwaters Veterinary Hospital. As a practicing veterinarian, Kelly developed special interests in herd health, bovine nutrition and small animal orthopedics.
On a trip to Iceland in 2017, he was intrigued by the baleage methods the Icelandic farmers used to store their hay in the harsh climate. He spent part of an afternoon touring a working farm, and came back to Montana with an intention to make better hay storage an option for ranchers here.
Dave Hottell
Dave Hottell grew up in the ranching communities of South West Montana, where both parents worked as ranch hands at various cattle ranches, mostly in Madison County. Dave graduated from Harrison High School and joined the United States Army in 1998 as an Infantryman. Serving two tours in Iraq, one in 2003 and again in 2005 and was awarded a Bronze Star medal before being honorably discharged in 2006. While working the next four years on and off overseas, Dave married and had three daughters. He decided to switch careers and continue with a ranching lifestyle in Pony, Montana. Dave’s favorite past times are hunting, fishing, reloading ammo and walking around in the mountains bugling for elk. Having lifetime experiences of working with cattle, haying, irrigating, equipment and machinery maintenance, Dave has decided to try a new style of haying and joined Wrapstar in 2019.
